We are contacting you because we hope you will help out a fledgling event, that we want to develop worldwide, by promoting it through your website.

After a moderately successful first run last July the Street Blitz fortnight of street-art returns to London 1-15 May 2008. The simple concept uses the web to open up the whole city as a gallery space; and not confine it to internal, controlled and possibly inaccessible spaces.

What the 'organisers' are asking for is that during the two weeks everyone who wants to participate gets out there, installs some art (or any act of creative subversion), documents it and then trots off to a computer somewhere to mark its place on a map on the Street Blitz website – along with photos, description and any other details.

There is some more information, and the motivation behind the event, to be found on the website. Some tips and links will be shared there, for those finding their feet, over the next few weeks. The map will be active from the 1st May.

We hope you will help us spread the word, this is a self-funded project led by paupers. We've pasted some more blurb below, and attached it as a word doc – just pinch what you need. If you want a load of snazzy stickers with the details on them and want to spread them around London please email back with a postal address.

Thanks,
Street Blitz
