ANOTHER DEATH IN GAZA

A 13 year old Palestinian was killed during an Israeli air strike on Gaza on Thursday(8th).

The teenager has been identified as Hmeid Abu Daqqa. He was near the city of Khan Yunis, located in the Southern area of the Gaza strip. Hmeid Abu Daqqa was killed by several bullets fired from an Israeli helicopter. Later on Thursday, an IDF soldier was lightly injured by Palestinian mortar shells fired at an IDF force on the border with southern Gaza. A tunnel blew up near soldiers on the Gaza-Israel fence after being filled with explosives; the blast was claimed by Palestinian insurgents as a response to the death of Hmeid Daqqa.

This is one the latest events in the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territory. This past week has seen a series of rocket attacks from Gaza and Israeli air strikes which have left six militants dead and at least five Israelis hurt. On Monday(5th) a Palestinian man died after being injured by Israeli troops on Sunday. The 20-year-old man, Ahmed al-Nabaheen, suffered from psychiatric and mental problems and was unable to heed warnings to leave the area. The troops fired bullets on him after he approached Gaza's border fence and then wouldn't let ambulances to the scene.
