BATMAN V's ANARCHY
Titan Books
Alan Grant
Altogether lighter affair than V For Vendetta
but interesting nonetheless. This graphic novel tells the story
of one boys attempts to broaden the scope of justice in Gotham City - to "go
after some real criminals" for a change. This brings him up
against Gotham's shadowy enforcer of "the law",
who is duly thrown into a crisis of conscience.
There is a rather confusing sub-plot with the
forces of Evil that is probably more of a nod to the comic book
formula than anything else. Intelligent dialogue keeps the plot
interesting but this is probably best suited to younger readers.
