MILKING IT

A North Kesteven District Council ruling has put the skids on plans for a 8,100 cow dairy farm following strong opposition.

While the council raised concerns about slurry management and smell, campaigners have also highlighted the issues of animal welfare, the spread of disease and the effect on smaller scale dairy farmers. The company behind the plan, Nocton Dairies, announced their intention to resubmit its plans.
