Today, as feared, Ian Tomlinson's killer PC Simon Harwood walked free from court. Public pressure after the coroner's enquiry into Ian's death returned a verdict of unlawful killing forced the trial to go ahead. SchNEWS has to wonder whether the Crown Prosecution Service really put their best foot forward on this one. Meanwhile Ian's family are now considering a a civil prosecution.
