In London over 200 anti-fascists gathered outside the Greek Embassy to show solidarity with the mass demo of their Athenian comrades . The UAF swiftly jumped on the Athens Antifa bandwagon and organised their usual platform with the same old union speakers.
Despite grandiose online threats a grand total of a dozen actual fascists mobilised. They were keen to disassociate themselves from the softly-softly "only taking a stand against radical Islam, honest guv" approach of the EDL, telling one counter-demostrator to 'Fuck off back to the synagogue'. On hearing the UAF slogan 'Fascist scum off our streets' one of them shouted “I'm not a fascist – I'm a Nazi!”. They were escorted away by police while being pelted with snowballs.

For 25 years Golden Dawn were a marginal group that for the most attacked small left-wing and anarchist groups and sometimes would also go for immigrants. Until a few years ago they never measured more than 200 members. Up until recently they had one office. Now? They have forty-eight.
